Marangu

Description

The Marangu Route, or “Coca-Cola Route,” is Kilimanjaro’s oldest and most popular trail. Completed in 5–6 days, it’s the shortest and cheapest option but has lower summit success due to limited acclimatization. Unlike other routes, it offers huts with beds and dining halls, though the ascent and descent follow the same path, making scenery less varied. Best for budget climbers seeking comfort but often crowded and more challenging at high altitude.
